Easter Slalom Showdown 2015

My look of hysteria as I'm about to get owned by little Alice.

As part of the annual London skate scene's Easter weekend I took part in the Easter Slalom Showdown. The event is more for fun yet I always fail to show anything near my best. 


I'd taken part in the Bunny Stroll Street Skate for the two hours before so brought along four different wheels so I can rocker my skates to make them appropriate for slalom style skating. However the wheels were too similar a size to create a proper rocker. So essentially the flat wheels setup meant I couldn't turn as well as I usually can.

I frantically practised before my name was called up, hoping I'd somehow I'd break in the new wheels in time. However all was in vain as I heard them call me.

To my dismay I was up against little Alice. She's about half my size and I have twice the skate years on her as she's been alive. To that extent it would sound like I should win but,.. I've seen her skate. 


Regardless of my skate wardrobe malfunction lets just say Alice went on to win overall. I take my bunny ears off to you.
