Back again for the no thrills skate event South Coast Roll. Just turn up and skate as much or as little as you'd like.
For me it was a full marathon distance. It was a lot harder this year as I didn't have the benefit of my much more accomplished friend Edmar to draft behind when the going got tough. The wind certainly didn't not ease down for me. I skated for parts of the journey with Richard A.
Probably could have shaved a little more time if I didn't miscalculate my laps. At least it was a lap extra!
Adrenaline Rush (Event has now unfortunately folded) at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park was the first event from which I've altered the rating from out of 10; to out of 100. So I've also updated all previous events so it's in line with this. It’s becoming a little tricky to rate these events given the similar benchmark organisers are hitting, plus as I become more experienced with OCR events my expectations are altering too.
Did the MC get confused as to what event he is at?! "Go on Tough Mudders!":
My friend Muhayman who was on my 6 person Le Mans Inline Skate team last year will be going solo this year. He will be raising money for his charity Wheels and Wheelchairs. You can sponsor Muhayman too here: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/muhaymanjamil
This video is my pledge to his cause:
Awesome afternoon messing around on their trampolines, falling onto airbags, facing each other off on their Ninja Run, as well as a little taste of free running in Airspace’s parkour area.
The staff were great there. We were quizzed on a ten minute video to ensure we understood our all the safety procedures before being let loose. Staffs were more than happy to give us pointers and obviously knew their stuff.
The footage from today I made into a little trailer for my friend’s birthday party.
