In 2008 I participated in my first inline marathon at the Goodwood circuit. It was long, sunny, rainy, windy and windy. My time was 2 hours and 45 minutes (I also did an extra lap, which I hadn't realised until I saw the official time) using Salamon Chill LX, 84mm wheels. I had a stitch before the end of my first lap which remained for the entire duration. Finishing the marathon was a big achievement but I vowed never to do another marathon again.
It felt like taking something you love and massively over indulging. Just like when I was younger I always wanted to eat the whole family sized quiche, one day did and I felt so awful. The quiche effect. At least I raised £361.00 for the NSPCC for my troubles.
