Above is our afternoon at Go Ape at Black Park Country Park.
Go Ape is an outdoor activity centre where you'll spend a couple of hours with the aid harnesses up in the treetops. Climbing rope ladders, crawling through obstacles and screaming your heads off down the zip-lines. You don't have to be particularly athletic to participate. On a lot of obstacles they gave you two ways of completing it. For example on the hanging ropes you could use your upper body strength to swing yourself across, or you could use the floor panels to step on instead. They teach you how to use the harnesses properly before you go out and I felt quite safe with them. Some people took their time to cross the obstacles but with the safety equipment I was quite happy just running and jumping across. Lots more fun!

Today I re-introduced another friend back to skating, Sammy. I feel like one of those weird reps for those pyramid type cults, or product fads!
The rain didn't deter Sammy that day in Hyde Park, that's the kind of student I like. |
