My Friday nights usually involves taking part in the Friday Night Skate in London. However today despite the weather being really good for it opted to take part in a meditation flash mob in the British Museum.
I was there to support my friend Elina who organises these events but I have also come to enjoy the time out from the usual hectic walks of life. See their Facebook page for the next meditation flash mob.

This is the second meditation flash mob I've attended. I was a little late but didn't miss too much as I dashed there on my skates. Found myself a nice spot and enjoyed the positive vibes. It was nice when we finished as I didn't realise my friend Meme had spotted me and was actually sitting next to me the whole time. My friend Elina organised this event. See their Facebook page for the next meditation flash mob. My friend Elina with the help of her other meditation friends organised their first meditation flash mob under the name of Wake Up London.
I went to support her as a friend however I found the experience quite amazing, especially since a lot of my pastimes are skate adrenaline fuelled. The session was half an hour long with the last five minutes they had the 'Om,' chanting. From what I understand the 'Om,' is like the natural resonance of the body so chanting it helps you relax. (Please correct me if I'm wrong). The chanting was amazing, the sound was something I've never experienced before and definitely not in Trafalgar square which is usually such a busy landmark. Elina seems to have achieved a celebrity status within this community as after the event it tools ages before I had chance to speak to her! I highly recommend coming along to their next event.
